Marathons
The marathon is one of my favorite events and has grown in popularity as a “bucket list” goal. There are marathons in every possible configuration you can think of: hot weather, cold weather, flat and on the road, hilly on the trail, hilly on the road — you get the idea. The one thing that every marathon has in common is that it covers 26.2 miles.
To meet the challenge of covering those 26.2 miles, it takes dedication, commitment along with smart and consistent training. After helping runners cross the finish line hundreds of times, I know that each runner has their own journey to that finish line.
Below are some of the articles and advice that I have shared over the years that seem to help our runners the most.

- Things I learned by running two marathons in 8 days and how these lessons can help you
- Ironman long run training post Jordan Rapp’s Seminar (triathlon specific but worth a read for runners too)

- Do I need to run/walk during my runs?
Stories from runners who put it together on race day
